Kuthampully Handloom Village - Trissur Kuthampully, situated about 50 km northeast of Thrissur town, is a traditional cotton weaving village. They trace their origins to modern day Karnataka. Legend has it that this community of traditional weavers were brought here by the Kochi Royal family some 500 years back to ply their trade exclusively for the palace. Kuthampully Handloom Industrial Co-operative Society was registered in 1972 with 102 members and is the main representative of the inhabitants. They have ensured that the traditions of the past were not forgotten. The Kasavu double dhoti, set mundu and veshti are also popular articles of clothing produced. Modern weaving techniques have been incorporated to meet current trends and make designer clothing. MadayiPara Madayipara  is a flat-topped hillock located in the  Madayi , of  Kannur  district of  Kerala  state in Southern  India . It is overlooking Payangadi town on the northern bank of Kuppam river. Madayipara is located in the Madayi village, at latitude 12°2’ N and longitude 75°16’E, about 21 km north of Kannur town, the district headquarters of Kannur district in Kerala.  The Madayipara is well known for its rich diversity of plants. The aquatic and semi-aquatic plants form extensive carpets of blue, pink, white and yellow during the monsoon season.

Unplanned trips are often extraordinary.  this surreal waterfall is nothing less than a hidden treasure.  As though the spot was known for a few, The ambiance was too quiet with the chirping of birds, flowing of stream, And that made the trip extraordinary.  22-Jun-2019, Saturday Was a boring day, Not so much to do. while boredom hits its peak, I simply texted in my college WhatsApp group, "Guys evdeyenkilm poyalo...??" ( guys, Can we go somewhere? ) immediately one replied "Ahh, pova" (YES) another replied "evida povum?" (where to go) next one "njaanum ind.." ( i have too) finally, 5 of us decided to go for a short ride. But was not sure where to go within that short while. Whatsapp group "Alla evda pokum?" (where will we go) "palakkayam thattu poyalo??"
